Paws-I-Tive Award winners for the week are: Emily Cephers, Caitlynn Jenkins, Rayven Huffman, Amber Walters, Kimberlie Crowley, Dylan Lindberg, and Jade Carlson!  Super Duper!

We need your help!  If you have any items of clothing belonging to Kila School - sweats, shirts, snow pants, socks, hats, gloves, etc., we are asking that they be returned to the school office. 

Last day for hot cocoa and popcorn will be on Tuesday, Jan. 31st.

The 5th graders are starting to sell raffle tickets for their Valentines Basket on Monday, Jan. 30th.  Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. 

Starting Friday, Feb. 3rd the 7th and 8th graders will be selling chips and salsa for $1.00 after school. 

If you have any sweats or gloves that you no longer need and would like to donate them to the school we would greatly appreciate the donations! 

Kila School will have one position open for Trustee for the May 2012 election.  This is a three year term.  Nomination forms are available in the Kila School office.

Transportation reimbursement checks will be mailed in February after the Board of Trustees meeting for the 1st semester.

REMINDER!  YOUR CHILD NEEDS A SEPARATE PAIR OF PE SHOES!  THEY CANNOT PARTICIPATE IN THEIR PE CLASS IN SNOW BOOTS!  THE PE SHOES CAN BE LEFT HERE AT THE SCHOOL OR THEY NEED TO BE BROUGHT FROM HOME WHEN THEY HAVE PE.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION!

On Feb. 3rd, class and sports pictures will be taken starting at 8:45 AM.  Ordering packets were sent home earlier this week.

1st Semester Awards Assembly will be on February 3rd starting at 12:45 PM and go until 2:15 PM. The 7th and 8th graders will be selling Orange and Rootbeer floats after the awards assembly for $1.50.

Child Find Screening will be held on February 10th starting at 8:30 AM at West Valley Elementary School.   The screening is for children ages 3 to 5 with suspected delays in the areas of hearing, vision, motor skills, speech, language, and thinking skills.  To schedule an appointment, please call Amber at 257-1857. 

2nd quarter report cards go home today.  Please ask your children for their report card.

Kalispell Youth Softball Association (KYSA) will be holding registration for t-ball, coach pitched and 3rd - 9th grade girls fast pitch February 25th and March 3rd.  Registration will be held at the Kalispell Center Mall from 10 am - 2 pm on February 25th and March 3rd.  Registration forms may be picked up at Christian Center, 255 Summit Ridge Drive, Flathead Orthopedic Center, 111 Sunnyview Lane or your area school.  Forms may also be mailed by calling 881-KYSA (5972) and leaving a name and address.  T-Ball (Pre-K - Kindergarten) and Coach Pitched (1st & 2nd grade) is for both boys and girls at a cost of $35.  Girls fast pitch for 3rd - 9th grade girls is at a cost of $50.  There is a family maximum fee of $100.  Registration forms must be postmarked by March 10th and can also be dropped off at Christian Center, 255 Summit Ridge Drive and Flathead Orthopedic Center 111 Sunnyview Lane.  Additional information may be found at http://kysasoftball.clubspaces.com.  Questions call 881-KYSA (5972).  Interested coaches will need to mark that on their child's form or fill out an additional registration form.
